Shawn Leis is a visionary pediatric physical therapist and the founder of Little Feet Therapy, a thriving pediatric practice known for its compassionate care and cutting-edge clinical expertise. With over 15 years of clinical experience and over 7 years of business ownership, Shawn blends clinical excellence with entrepreneurial leadership to elevate pediatric therapy services and empower therapists to do the same.
Shawn has spent the past seven successful years owning and operating private practices across two U.S. states—North Carolina and Washington, D.C.—where she built inclusive, family-centered programs that became trusted pillars in their communities. Her leadership spanned clinical care, team development, and operational strategy, laying the foundation for her current work in consulting and outreach.
Clinically, her practice is rooted in a deep commitment to early detection of neurodevelopmental conditions—particularly cerebral palsy, motor delays, and feeding challenges in infants and young children. Shawn is certified in advanced assessments including the General Movement Assessment (GMA), Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination (HINE), and Gross Motor Function Measure (GMFM), enabling her to identify subtle signs of atypical development and intervene with precision and empathy.
As a business owner, Shawn leads with creativity, strategy, and heart. She consults with other pediatric therapy entrepreneurs to help them build sustainable, family-centered practices, offering guidance on operations, outreach, and clinical programming. Her approach is collaborative and culturally sensitive, with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary care and inclusive service design.
